Hello All,
The last few days have been some of the most physically and mentally demanding days of my life. I spent the weekend hiking through part of the Himalayan Mountain Range here in Northern Thailand. The combination of the oppressive heat, humidity and the undulating jungle like terrain was beyond what I could try to describe. I thought the Himalayans were cold! Some points were straight vertical climbs. Others, descents. Machetes the whole way. Rambo style.
I climbed, rappelled, swam, and at one point rafted down a river for an hour on planks of bamboo! Every second of it was worth it though! It led me to what you will see below. No question, this was one of the most fulfilling weekends of my life! One I'll never forget.
Early night. Trying to recover. Tomorrow is a new day!

For two days I was in the Himalayan Mountains with a guide that didn't speak a word of English. All I can say in Thai is: "please", "thank you", and" is it time for rice?" It is incredible how humans can overcome barriers, in this case language, to accomplish a common goal. Smiles work in any language. Thanks Kenny.
