TAKING ON THE IDAHO AND WYOMING WILDERNESS

Grettings All,

Long time no talk.  The response team just finished up a month down in Texas providing almost 3,000 hours of flood relief in both central Texas and Houston.  An absolute rockstar effort by the whole team to get some solid work done for many.  I continue to be so proud of the whole disaster response team at NECHAMA and lucky to be a small part of it all.

Once things were all wrapped up for us down in Texas, I jumped on a flight to crank out a few more items off my bucket list.

I landed in Jackson Hole, Wyoming on the 4th of July.  From there, I drove up to the place I rented on the Idaho side of the Idaho/Wyoming border.  Tetonia, Idaho.  Population 250 give or take.  It is absolutely serene and I am getting lost in the views for hours at a time.

I have been going back and forth over the border as I venture into Targhee National Forest and Grand Teton National Park.  I'm just few days in and I have knocked out about 35 miles of trails.

I am working east coast hours doing some remote stuff for NECHAMA and then taking full advantage of the 9:30PM sunsets here in the mountains.

The plan next is to spend some time traveling up into Montana and then dropping back down into Yellowstone National Park for a few nights.  This too is something I have been wanting to do for most of my life.

Anyways, I posted some pictures and a few videos this time.  My camera situation these days isn't like it was on previous travels.  Just using my Android phone camera.  Nothing great, but the scenery is so spectacular that the pictures are still OK.  Doesn't do the sites justice though.

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th and your summers (or winters for my friends on the other side of the world) are off to great starts.

Be well my friends and remember, The Future Is No Place To Place Your Better Days

PS... I can't thank my old friend Ed Sylvester enough for giving me great advice on how to tackle this part of the world.  Thank you sir!
